When will the Shaare Zedek On the Run take place?
Sunday May 15th 2011 at Earl Bales Park (Bathurst south of Sheppard). Registration is at 9:00 AM at the Earl Bales Amputheatre. Run/Walk begins at 9:30.
What if it rains?
The walk will be held rain or shine. Sometimes the walk route is shortened in the event of severe inclement weather. Please check your local weather station the day of the event and bring the appropriate protective clothing.
What activities will there be for children?
Children’s activities will include a rock climbing wall, face painter, Sportball mini marathon and activities, a raffle with lots of great children’s toys and a DJ playing music throughout the morning. As well as a very special performance by the Leo Baeck Glee Club
What about for the adults?
Adults will enjoy a pre walk/run stretch from the trainers at Shape Fitness as well as massage tables that will be set up for before or after your run/walk. There will be healthy food and a raffle will take place with great prizes.
Where are the best places to park?
Parking is available in many different locations within the park, however the closest parking lot to the meeting spot for the event is in the community center parking lot.

What is the registration fee?
Cost per family is $50 or FREE with $150 of donations
Can I register on the day of the event?
Yes. You can register in person at the start of the event. We do, however, encourage you to register in advance so you can take advantage of our online fundraising tools and raise more pledges online.

Do I have to collect the donations from the people who have agreed to pledge me?
Yes. You should ask your sponsors to give you their generous donation at the same time they pledge you, except for online pledges which are paid by credit card immediately during the online pledging process.
How do I make a make a donation even though I'm not participating in the 2011 On the Run?
You can sponsor a participant or make a general donation to The Shaare Zedek Hospital Foundation
Can I pledge without using the Internet?
Yes. You can pledge directly to any participant or you can contact the Shaare Zedek Hospital office for donation information 416-781-3584.

ROUTE
How long is the route?
5K or 3.1 miles and you can walk or run. For families with small children and people in wheelchairs you can decide what's right for you!
