On The Run: Bigger And Better Each Year
On the Run, The Canadian Shaare Zedek Hospital Foundation's 3rd Annual Family Fitness Day, was held Sunday September 23rd at Sunnybrook Park. This year, proceeds from the event went towards the new Wilf Children's Hospital at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
This fun-filled day featured a 5km trail run, picnic of healthy snacks, runner's kit, Doo Doo the clown, Spirit Entertainment, Dynamix Kid Vivor, Discovery Toys, SHAPE Fitness, face painting, bouncy castles and an auction and raffle.
The contribution of the committee, led by co-chairs Chaim Bell and Michael Mills, along with event participants, sponsors and donors helped make this enjoyable day a financial success. This year On the Run netted approximately $30,000, a 40% increase over 2006.
