Mazel tov to the graduates of the academically accredited nursing program run by Shaare Zedek Medical Center and Lev Academic Center. All of the 43 students (100%) who received their nursing degrees also passed the national exam for nursing certification and most of them will be joining the nursing staff at Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
The Director General of Shaare Zedek, Professor Ofer Merin shared, “The satisfaction one experiences when helping people who are suffering from pain and illness is the reason why people choose to work in healthcare and nursing. We see great importance in investing in the personal and professional development of our nurses and maintaining the spirit of compassion, love and giving which are an integral part of the culture in Shaare Zedek.”
Professor Jonathan Halevy, the Co-Director General of Shaare Zedek shared, “Artificial intelligence is constantly improving and occupies a significant part of the medical world…Many say that it is just a matter of time until robots will replace the medical staff, but there is no chance of that…Medical equipment, as sophisticated as it may be, does not have the humanity that characterizes people, certainly not nurses. Nursing has been and will remain, the backbone of any hospital and technology will continue to assist in providing professional medical treatment.”
Congratulations to all of the new nurses. We wish you much luck and success in your careers and welcome all those joining the dedicated nursing staff at Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
