Shaare Zedek’s Breast Oncology Unit led by Dr. Shani Paluch-Shimon was the first medical center to be accepted into the international list of units recognized by the European School of Oncology (ESO) Breast Cancer Programme.
The criterion used included the availability of multi-disciplinary services in the hospital for diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, multi-disciplinary efforts, medical and the performance of the medical and human resources on the level of the global standards for the treatment of breast cancer.
