Dr. Moshe Carmon, Head of Shaare Zedek Medical Center’s Breast Surgery Unit further reinforces a campaign launched by Ms. Ruth Colian, the head of B’zhutan: Haredi Women Making Change,” the first-ever Israeli party dedicated to ultra-orthodox women, focused on encouraging ultra-orthodox women to have regular checks for breast cancer.
Dr. Carmon shared, “Haredi women come in less for regular screenings…but there has been a significant improvement over the last couple of years. We have recently seen more ultra-orthodox women being diagnosed at earlier stages, and it is thanks to many efforts to educate the public.
