Dr. Floris Levy-Khademi, the Director of our Pediatric Day Care Unit and our Division of Pediatric Endocrinology explains that during the summer many teenagers don’t lead a very healthy lifestyle. They switch day and night, eat unhealthy foods and spend a lot of time staring at screens.

Staying out late, drinking more alcohol and smoking drugs leads is damaging to one’s health and emotional development.  Drinking alcohol has become increasingly popular among teenagers and kids are starting to drink at younger ages.

Dr. Levy-Khademi also discusses the impact of children playing hours and hours of video games such as Fortnite which was very popular this past summer.
