Just 16 minutes into 2021 Shaare Zedek registered our first birth for the year; weighing in at 2950 grams (6.5 lbs), a boy to Muchamed and Sundus Selach.
“We had a great experience and we wish everyone that this should usher in a new year of happiness and health and that this baby can grow up in a world where people won’t need to walk around in masks,” said that happy new parents.
The Wilf Woman and Infant Center at Shaare Zedek is the largest and most active maternity facility in Jerusalem and once again finished the year with the highest number of babies born in any Israeli hospital.
Shaare Zedek inaugurated a new “natural birthing” program which includes facilities for water births and natural therapies for pain management. We also opened a new “rooming in” option offering hotel-level accommodations.
