Dr. Oberbaum lectures at House of Lords in London

Dr. Menachem Oberbaum, the Director of Shaare Zedek’s Center for Integrative Complementary Medicine was the only Israeli invited to lecture at the first international conference of its kind in London. 300 scientists and researchers of conventional medicine, as well as homeopathy attended the conference hosted by Lord Aaron Kenneth Ward Atherton in the House of Lords in London and in The House of the Royal Society for Medicine.

Other guests of honor and speakers included, Prof. Luc Antoine Montagnier, recipient of the  2008 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his discovery of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and Prof. Brian David Josephson, best known for his pioneering work on superconductivity and quantum tunnelling and he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1973.

Dr. Oberbaum was the only lecturer who focused on homeopathy. He lectured about the methodological problems in clinical research in homeopathy as well as possible solutions. Dr. Oberbaum has published close to 80 articles and has published articles on an array of topics including treating mouth sores in cancer patients who have undergone chemotherapy and how to reduce women’s bleeding in the delivery room. Dr. Oberbaum shared, “It was very exciting…The Israeli flag was among the flags of all the distinguished guests, and the host extended great friendship to Israel, and these days we should not take that lightly.”
