On July 31, a 50-year-old man was severely injured in a terrorist attack at Ofakkim Junction near Kiryat Arba. After being shot and stabbed by the terrorist, he was rapidly treated by MDA paramedics and then evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
The hospital’s Trauma Unit received him within an hour of the attack. Although his condition was serious, he was stable and conscious upon arrival. Shaare Zedek’s medical team quickly assessed his injuries with imaging tests and urgently performed surgery. This swift and effective response highlights the crucial role of Shaare Zedek Medical Center in managing critical trauma cases, demonstrating its vital importance in providing life-saving care.
