Earlier this week, we were proud to host a medical delegation of 23 senior doctors and nurses from Colombia arranged by the The Aharon Ofri International Training Center who came to Shaare Zedek to learn firsthand from our hospital’s experience treating the Corona pandemic.
As one of Israel’s top three hospitals in terms of COVID-19 patients treated, and with our extensive experience dealing with other major healthcare crises and mass casualty events, the visit enabled us to share specific lessons taken from these events and how we have applied them to better our provision of patient care.
The visit was hosted by Director General, Prof. Ofer Merin alongside senior physicians from the Corona service and our Emergency Departments. They spoke about the managerial and professional challenges that have arisen over the past year and a half- as well as how the hospital remains even better prepared for all types of future medical eventualities which may arise at any time.
