Over 800 people gathered at the Jerusalem Theater for the second annual evening recognizing the emergency services (security, rescue and medical) in Jerusalem where Shaare Zedek Medical Center was once again recognized for its significant contribution.
Mr. Elad Lifshutz, the manager of Kol Ha’ir, opened the evening expressing warm thanks and appreciation for all of the organizations and forces who work to ensure the security of the city and to save lives. Mr. Nir Barkat, the Mayor of Jerusalem, discussed how our emergency services run towards the sites of terror attacks in order to help rather than running away.
Professor Jonathan Halevy, the Director General of Shaare Zedek Medical Center, accepted the award on behalf of Shaare Zedek and also shared with the audience insights regarding the work of Shaare Zedek’s trauma unit during difficult times.
