A new update in the IVF treatment support system at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem has officially launched, with a new after-hours telephone answering line, and WhatsApp messaging, to report urgent cases, and receive guidance from one of the hospital’s qualified nurses.
Head of Shaare Zedek’s IVF & Infertility Unit, Prof. Ido Ben-Ami, said, “Many patients need response and guidance during treatment even after-hours in the unit, and we are here to give them all the information, service, guidance, support, and reinforcement for the success of the process.”
The new IVF treatment support line will operate weekdays, from Sunday to Thursday, between 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Patients will receive responses to questions, and any support they are seeking, by the qualified nurses who are managing the line. This will enable Shaare Zedek medical staff to be able to offer guidance and support to those undergoing treatment in the evenings, through an accessible and convenient format for patients.
Prof. Ido Ben-Ami explained, “We are attentive to the patients’ need to answer questions, and to clarify guidelines on urgent issues that arise during the most important treatments. Our fertilization system is available to patients and we are expanding it to strengthen the connection and support that patients receive, thus adding another layer to the success of the fertilization procedure.”
