Raising money for Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem is our raison d’être. The hospital receives minimal government funding for research, education and equipment and is therefore heavily reliant on benefactors and supporters around the world. The energy, drive and philanthropic commitment of passionate individuals and groups are crucial to helping us achieve our fundraising goals and there are plenty of ways in which you can help:
Your donation enable us to fund state of the art equipment, , research and medical training. This will save lives, deliver lives and change lives.
Making a planned gift is about ensuring your legacy to continue supporting the people and causes that are important to you well into the future. This can be done by:
- Leaving a bequest (a gift in your will) to The Canadian Shaare Zedek Hospital Foundation
- Naming The Canadian Shaare Zedek Hospital Foundation as beneficiary of a new or existing Life Insurance Policy
- Creating an Endowment at Shaare Zedek
- Naming Shaare Zedek as a beneficiary of your RRSP, RRIF or Pension
- Creating Charitable Annuity
Make a donation to honour someone who is celebrating a special occasion (such as a wedding, anniversary, birthday, or bar\bat mitzvah) or send a card in memory of someone. You can also send a card to your friends and family for the holidays.
You will receive a tax receipt for your generous gift, and we will send a card with your special message to the person(s) being honoured.
The Canadian Shaare Zedek Hospital Foundation hosts a variety of different events throughout the year across Canada.
From poker to ski days, luncheons, speaker evenings or gala dinners, there are multiple ways to participate and enjoy an event supporting our hospital.
Shaare Zedek relies on the generosity of its corporate sponsors and partners to support our fundraising initiatives throughout the year. The Small Wishes Gift Book provides various options to purchase necessary supplies for the NICU. By funding the purchase of a small piece of equipment or hospital supplies, you are making a meaningful contribution to the NICU while at the same time recognizing that special someone in your life.
Support for our hospital goes far beyond donations. We welcome your engagement with us as a dedicated volunteer. There are a number of ways in which you can give your time:
- Administrative support in our Toronto (head) office
- Join a committee in Toronto or Montreal and get involved planning our fundraising initiatives
