Congratulations to Prof. Michael Glikson, the Director of our Jesselson Integrated Heart Center at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, for being elected as chairman for the National Council of Cardiovascular Disease!
Jesselson Integrated Heart Center is Israel’s largest Cardiology Department but what makes it effective is its integration of resources.
Prof. Michael Glikson said, “When I came to Shaare Zedek, we decided to create one major heart center, including cardiology, cardiac surgery, and cardiac rehabilitation, all with common management. This creates wonderful collaboration and transfer information, because the patient is being treated by various teams at the same time.”
Many hospitals separate cardiac related services and sometimes they are even located on different floors. Having all the cardiac services under one team creates a unified approach and ultimately leads to better treatment.
Once again, we would like to congratulate Prof. Michael Glikson as this is a huge accomplishment for our Hospital With A Heart! Together we can continue saving, delivering, and changing lives.
