Dina is a dedicated Emergency Room nurse at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem. Her husband is a combat solider in the IDF’s 669 Elite Rescue Unit. He has been fighting and saving lives in Gaza since October 7th. Last week, her husband evacuated a patient by helicopter from Gaza to Shaare Zedek while Dina was on shift and they unexpectedly bumped into each other! This was a moment of light for both of them during these dark times.

Dina shared:
“My husband has been serving on the battlefield involved with the ongoing treatment and evacuation of patients. Almost by chance, his helicopter landed at Shaare Zedek just when I was also on a shift. We’re all working tirelessly in our specific areas, and we haven’t seen much of each other over this entire period. To be brought back together, by surprise, was really moving for both of us and gave us the boost of inspiration. I hope and pray that we’ll be able to be home together very soon, and we are wishing that all wounded soldiers have a full and speedy recovery.”
