A heartwarming event unfolded at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem as sisters Libby Kalikstein and Paari Ringer unexpectedly gave birth on the same day!
Midwife Shlomit Pearl, with her 28 years of experience, played a crucial role in this special story. She had no idea she would help deliver both sisters’ babies during her shift. As Ringer was preparing for labour, she found out that her sister had already given birth just moments ago. A surprising twist followed when Ringer requested to share a room with her sister, catching Pearl off guard, since she was not aware of their family connection.
Overjoyed by this event, Pearl shared, “In all my 28 years of delivering babies, I have never been so touched. Only after Paari’s delivery was over, and she asked me to put her in the same room as her sister, I realized that five hours earlier I had partaken in her sister’s birth. I am thrilled to be part of this joyful family story and I wish the two adorable babies and their families a happy and healthy life”.
