Ilanit Liberman shares her story on how her life was saved at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
“Six months ago, my husband and I faced the devastating trauma of an Ectopic Pregnancy at Shaare Zedek. Thanks to the incredible Medical Staff at the Women’s Clinic and Gynaecology Division, my life was saved. After weeks of recovery, we thought the ordeal was behind us, but a strange phenomenon was detected during a Post-Ectopic Pregnancy check-up just before our trip to the United States for Pesach. This led to multiple visits to the hospital and a shocking diagnosis of an extremely rare complication called Arterial Venous Malformation (AVM) in the ovary.
Dr. Adam Farkas, Head Technician of Obstetrics Naomi Levy, and Dr. Eyal Mazaki, along with the Medical Staff of the Vascular Anomalies Clinic and Women’s Division, became our heroes. They guided us through this emotional rollercoaster and ensured I received the necessary surgery to address the life-threatening situation.
Throughout this journey, I cried, questioned, and feared, but the support from the medical staff and loved ones kept me strong. Now, just 24 hours post-surgery, I am relieved and grateful that this chapter is finally over.
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Shaare Zedek for saving my life twice in the last six months. To the incredible medical professionals, you are true angels, and I cannot thank you enough. And to everyone who offered love, prayers, and support, you made a difference in our lives. Thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts.”
