We are so proud to share that a medical delegation, organised by the Ministry of Health has left Israel to provide medical treatment to hundreds of injured civilians, including many burn victims as a result of an explosion at a gas reservoir in Krabach, Armenia.

Leading the delegation is our very own Director General of Shaare Zedek Medical Center Jerusalem Professor Ofer Merin. He is joined by a medical team comprising of specialists from Shaare Zedek and Soroka Medical Center

The team includes plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, ICU physicians and nurses and burns specialists. They are traveling with advanced burn care equipment and have already begun treating patients in local hospitals.

The Shaare Zedek team includes Prof. Merin and Dr. Yoav Gronovich, Director of the Department of Plastic Surgery and senior plastic surgeons Dr. Adi Lotan and Dr. Ronen Toledano, anesthesiologists Dr. Mohamed Jabar, Dr. David Ben Ari and Rachel Havivi, Head Nurse in the Department of Plastic Surgery.

The teams are already actively working and have already performed multiple complex emergency surgical procedures.
