A survey conducted by the Ministry of Health determined that the staff members of Shaare Zedek Medical Center were careful and used protective gear and that none of the staff were infected by the virus. The Ministry of Health tested 120 members of our staff, most of whom worked in the departments treating patients with COVID-19 and all of the members of the staff tested negative for the virus.
Professor Ofer Merin, the Director General of Shaare Zedek Medical Center shared, “The results of the survey are a badge of honor for Shaare Zedek and our staff. Shaare Zedek led the way in the treatment of coronavirus patients and treated hundreds of patients over the past two months and no staff member was infected. We proved that proper protection, discipline and the cooperation of the staff allowed for a high level of safety that protected both the staff and our patients. Shaare Zedek is going back regular operations and we will continue to adhere to the guidelines for protective gear and distancing for the safety of our patients and staff.”
