Tekoa Junction Victim El-Roi Kapach Discharged From Shaare Zedek Medical Center

37-year-old El-Roi Kapach was admitted to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem on July 16, 2023, in life-threatening condition after sustaining gunshot wounds to his upper body during last week’s shooting attack at the Tekoa Junction in Gush Etzion. He was rushed by an ambulance to Shaare Zedek, where he we immediately taken to surgery upon arrival.

After a week of treatment and urgent care, El-Roi was discharged from the hospital on July 28 and will continue his rehabilitation at home. The Director of the Trauma Unit Dr. Alon Shwartz wished El-Roi a “full and easy recovery”.

El-Roi’s wife, Tamar Kapach, shared: “We are thankful for the Shaare Zedek staff, from the moment El-Roi arrived they took excellent care of him. Everyone was extremely professional, friendly, and dedicated to saving his life”.

We are happy to see El-Roi leave Shaare Zedek in good condition and we hope that together we can continue saving, delivering, and changing lives.
