On June 15, 2023, Prof. Boris Chertin, Director of the Urology Department at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, amongst others, hosted an international conference, in collaboration with Stone Institute Boston Scientistic. The purpose of this was to discuss the new developments and advancements being made in treating stone disease.

Stone disease occurs when chemicals in the urine become concentrated and form crystals in the urinary tract. It mostly affects the kidneys and bladder.

Shaare Zedek developed various treatment methods over the years, including the arthroscopy laser, that was presented in the conference.

Doctors from all around the world including but not limited to Romania, Italy, The Soviet Union, Macedonia, Slovakia, and Israel, attended the conference. They heard lectures about new findings and watched case presentations about new advancements. Together we can continue to find new innovative ways to keep saving, delivering, and changing lives.
